Another intersting person and large critic of city planning methods, specifically slum lords is Hans Hacke and his piece
"Shapolsky et al. Manhattan Real Estate Holdings, A Real Time Social System, as of May 1, 1971" a direct critique of the New York slum lord Shapolsky.
