Although This does not have much to do with our current topic on Hip-Hop... this was on local news in Kansas City recently and I found it to be something worth discussing in class.
One thing we have slightly discussed previously is the role broadcast news plays within race and popular culture.
After looking at this clip, what sort of discourse do you see being created about race? Why did they interview particular people and not others? What was the overall point to the story?
